This page has been made to honour and preserve the work of Pier de Haan, founder of Tattoo Peter. Here you can find old pictures of Tattoo Peter and some of his work.

 

As a child de Haan wanted to join the navy. During the second world war he lost his left leg. This incident made sure he could not join the navy. After he learned tattooing from Albert Cornelissen in Rotterdam, he decided to open his tattoo studio in 1955 in the St. Olofsteeg. The first shop of Amsterdam. In 1977 he moved de shop around the corner to Nieuwebrugsteeg 28. On 17th of march Pier died (braintumor).
